do test servers have deepfly off by default?

because this map has no server setting for deepfly off, but deepfly still doesnt work

no it's not on servers by default, you have to add 'sv_deepfly 1'

then why is deepfly working on lan server

I am sure that deepfly is disabled by default

no its just the ddnet server configs

deepfly is on by default on dummy servs so add sv_deepfly 0

i was thinking the same before yayita.

default val is also 1 so if your lan serv doesnt have sv_deepfly 0 in autoexec then it will have deepfly

hey, this map have good part, but try to use less switch and other special entities.


here is an exemple of to much switch, you can easily make the same part without it. red : switch is useless because you can't have 2 players on top + you can't go back and cheat map from up black : deep is useless + you can change a bit the part to not use switch at start + if you pass the switch then fail the part u have to go back to teleport.


here is the same, red : useless switch ( make sure u can't cheat with 2 tees on top) green : i'am not fan of hook teleport but it's ok i guess + sometime spawn is 2 tiles up from ground and sometime it's upper. black : some blocker are useless. blue : the part with switch is kinda weird + you don't neet to put switch off (t's open by default) you can use in serv settings "switch_open number of the switch".

and the skip vena ponited out is still possible (after your fix you cant go directly to the finish, but you can still go to the part before the finish and play on from there)

i think u should just put the puller slightly further down cause sometimes it didnt reach me

Some general advice: Try to use less of
- switches. u use switches a lot and often in unnecessary spots. dont overuse them. they make the map more complicated than it has to be. use less of them
- telehooks. kinda like the switches. often u have no idea where the telehook even leads to. use less of them
- teleports (to next parts). try to connect the parts in a natural way rather than just connect them with teleports. otherwise it looks like map was made without any effort. make natural connections All those should take u some time to fix. Take ur time with the update. Its important that u follow this advice. The parts themselves are alright, you just have to map it simpler and more naturally. Good luck
