So I've given this map a genuine chance, which it doesn't really deserve given the circumstances in which it was submitted and that totally legit server setting. It's just bad setup parts, structure and design are terrible. Take a look at recent releases at https://ddnet.org/releases/ in order to get an idea of what kind of quality we're looking for ๐Ÿ˜‰.

also wtf you mean? sv_no_weak_hook_and_bounce is a server setting that makes both players have strong hook

I'm not going to spend hours figuring out a nice design before knowing if the gameplay is even permitted. Plenty of maps get submitted with design unfinished and the testers always say that gameplay needs to be solved before design so they will show them gameplay fixes first.

then give me feedback on the parts, which ones did you like, which ones didnt you like? what was bad about them? what can I do better? I'm not asking for design critique, since i used default textures and am not working on design yet.

Well like I said it's all setup parts, press the right button and get kill edge etc. The structure is terrible so maybe the map as a whole wouldn't seem as bad if the structure was better

Not true. Another testing lead (Pipou) said we can submit maps without a design just to test gameplay to not waste too much time on it if the gameplay is bs.

I mean lets be real, not finishing the design on your map kinda just shows the level of confidence you have in your map where you expect parts to be changed because the gameplay isnt good enough

Putting a lot of efforts in design knowing that the map will be declined for whatever reason is just dumb. I personally 100% agree on this point, I personally would want to see some other tester's review on this map but I guess its pointless... (because testing lead opinion > any other opinion)

IMO Ravie just dislikes Skystrife and this is the main reason why it was instadeclined.
