It's completely common to spend two or three months making a good map.

Dont, it’s hard in the beginning but can be done, maps usually takes like more than 3 months to do it fine, even then the map has some issues to take care, so imagine a mapa being done in like 5 hours. You can use weird/unusual movements to make parts. if u are a new player maybe take more experience on maps and you can get an idea how the things can work
