Pretty interesting concept! I always love seeing interesting shapes being integrated into the gameplay! Even if I'm not a playtest, I do want to keep some notes here about the design and structure of the map:


when i painted tiles i always had problem that a little part of tile is not painted, so i add a little more around it than needed, i used ibis paint cuz photoshop is too hard to understand

Some programs I recommend are Krita and Inkscape:
- Both are free and open source!
- Krita specializes in raster painting, much like Ibis Paint, but offers a lot more features. Also available for desktop.
- Inkscape focuses on Vector graphics, the most reccomended use for game design for DDNet
Not forcing you to switch over or anything! I just feel like it would ease the problem of it not being all the way painted for you, especially Inkscape since it has a more pixel-perfect workflow.

How you can do this is by right-clicking the
group and clicking "Add Quads Layer". Adding a blank quad in this group will assign it to the background, since on initialization the
group doesn't move when you move your character (or camera). Adding a blank quad works just fine in this case! What you can do next is shift+click each corner of the quad, and right clicking to change the color of the newly added square! At the top bar, you can see the
button, and turning it on lets you align it to the camera, so you can make it cover the whole background!

the map structure is extremely inconvenient and has many bugs the map does not have envelopes in some places you can exit the map (see 1 screenshot) the map design also has errors in some places (see 2 screenshot) poor laser use, it is given to complete only 1 part (see 3 screenshot)
there are no interesting ports on the map, mostly boring and unpleasant ports on the jetpack

i'll say it openly, I don't think this map will be accepted because there is at least no basic cool idea on the map, again, there are just boring jetpack parts on the map. try to look at the recently released maps and study their structure and gameplay, your map lacks originality and high-quality design (in my opinion)

It's cool that you decided to get an opinion. "Barely Intermediate" jetpack map released at the end of 2024, but this is a bad example because it's just a modified version of another map remember that everything has its uses, you don't have to make parts exclusively on jetpack, you can test yourself in hh and drag maps

Just a note, to you and the map mods, there are defiantly going to be people in the community who will be disturbed or angered by the symbolism in this map.
Also it is repeated throughout the map, which other offensive maps don't have quite so much, and at least for those, it is a joke that nobody takes serious, I don't see many people taking this as a joke.
Furypleasure, NiggoDrag, WEEDS, to name a few (its just the name, or a logo)
I'm not saying any which way, but this is defiantly going to anger/upset at least a few people, IT IS offence to some, and it seems needlessly so, you could have easily not put these symbols and not faced issues at all.

Its just boring (I mean, its all gray gray gray), not all the freeze is mapped, and there isn't consistant extra design (talking about those islands in the freeze that don't effect gameplay)

I wouldn't do a unholy design, but If I had to, I'd try to get some inspration from Cerberus, take some freeze from grim reaper, some more islands, mabye make some of the icrons dark red, get some more backround, mabye some clouds and a blood moon, there are dark themed maps out there, but none that use the sysmbols you do.

I hope u keep mapping I agree there are not enough precision jp maps. Most of the parts had something new to offer. The second to last part kinda felt like it should have been the last part. Then the last part's tune made it awfully boring to play and significantly easier than the part right before it. The second to last part may also be a bit unbalanced compared to the rest of the map, but I like to end maps on the hardest thing. Some cool parts overall.
